Introducing our first set of enhancements that have been implemented in version 3.13. Both items were forum feature requests and should improve some already great features.
Custom Orders Items Export
As requested a few new fields have been added to the custom export for Orders and Items. Item Cost will now be available, it is the cost before graphics. Graphic cost will calculate from any graphic timers. Shipping cost will populate from any costs on order shipment, These fields will allow users to calculate margins and profits for each item and use them for things such as commission on profit margin.
Shipping customer and contacts
The shipment locations were given some upgrades and now include the ability to use to the customer or location name, as well as to choose a contact that is different than the order itself. The settings that are made to origin and destination locations will be sent to Shippo to create labels as well as to the DocketManager documents generated from a shipment.
Origin Location
The origin location will allow a user to choose between the site owner name or the custom name they have entered in location name field. This can be beneficial for blind shipping or shipping from alternate locations.Billing Location
A billing location can now be set to use location name if the location being billed is different than the customer placing the order. This will work well for multiple locations where parent companies are responsible for payments but the children receive the goods. The contact can be changed to someone different than the order contact such as an accounts payable contact.Destination Location
For the most commonly changed address, the destination, the alternative location name and contact field will allow users to send shipments to customers and recipients that are different of what is on the order. This will be useful for distributions to multiple locations and franchises.
