Our third quarter of 2019...
Over the last quarter the DocketManager team has really grown. We ended the second quarter with the arrival of our new sales manager Brian Diehl who then recruited more talent for our team. These 4 new faces joined us in July:
In August we welcomed 1 more member to the DocketManager team. Steven Arnold earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Guelph in International Development Experience. He comes to us with 15 years of experience in Education. Steve is passionate about training and improving people’s skills through clear communication
and empathetic customer service. His skills will serve well in the onboarding process and DocketManager's pursuit for building strong customer relationships.
And finally, let's not forget, in September we released our new logo.
Bradley Robinson is a Full Stack Developer and has been a member of our team since the creation of the DocketManager system. He studied Math at the University of Waterloo before switching to Humber College for Computer Programming. He was hired at Track21 Graphix (the birthplace of DocketManager) as a Digital Press Operator and Website Designer. He
gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the print industry making him a valuable asset when he transitioned in a development role with DocketManager.
As described by his peers
"If Lebron James, Babe Ruth and Wayne Gretzky exchanged their sports skills for development skills, and became one person, they still wouldn't come near the absolute unit that Bradley J Robinson is."
Our focus for each new release remains dedicating either 50% of the features or 50% of the development time to implementing requests from the forum. Already this year we have been able to add 55 of those requests.
20
Features implemented in version 3.14
8
Features implemented in version 3.13
(which was 68.67% of development time)
27
Features implemented in version 3.12
More often than not, our team has been able to incorporate a fair amount of feature requests into each new version. However, we've found a lot of benefit in spending a significant amount of time on fewer, more complex requests, as seen in version 3.13. DocketManager continues to prioritize new items based on votes, so over the next few versions we will be spending time reshaping some things in the backend so that we can truly focus on implementing the higher voted items. During this time we will continue to include as many smaller items as we can to ensure we are building what our users want.
